We made it into San Diego late last night. All our bags came, but we're headed back to recover a phone. Our first adventure mishap.

California's Bear Flag symbolizes a spirit of independence, first raised in Sonoma in 1846. The rebellion was short lived as was the republic..it only lasted a few weeks in that summer of '46.

Hopefully this spirit will be impressed upon our son as he embarks on his own quest for knowledge and independence.
