Who knows, do we have seasons in Hawaii anymore? I am not sure, but I do know that we made a commitment to stay open as much as possible through Labor Day and we did just that.

So with Labor Day now here, it marks the official beginning of the fall season for us.

As we reel back operating hours and staffing we wanted to remind you that our Surf Burger Express is now virtual and you can order online 11am-5pm on OPEN days (see the operating hours tab) just visit surfburger.smartonlineorder.com you’ll be sure to get the best value and the safest experience.

We want to thank you for all the support you have shown our little place through this crisis and especially some of you that have made it your mission to come almost every day…you are incredible!!

At the end of the day though, business is business and currently the math doesn’t add up. We are actually going backwards (lingering travel restrictions, folks ignoring mandates, unemployed not being able to access funds, closed beaches and disinformation) are not helping. So we have made the difficult decision to significantly reduce operating hours and staffing. At this point we are making decisions day to day. We do have a plan to remain operating even if we do go through another lock-down. This is our new Walk-Up Window. The Walk-Up window will also be operating as a tool on days we have reduced staff and can be utilized for telephone and online order pick-up.
